This is shaping up to be an event not to be missed. Tim's car is going to be swathed in more wax than you'll find in Madame Tussauds.

Count me in, and thanks for offering to host.

In all seriousness, it sounds like a really god way to spend the day. Looking forward to it already.

Cheers.

Tim - the day is planned for the 23rd of September to advise you on how to detail your car. Ant lives on the Sydney end of the putty Road so that makes it easier for you to get there.
Tim - are you interested or not? If we go to the effort to make this happen will you be there?
Regards,
Brian

Tim - go on to google maps and work it out.
Are you intending to come or not? Yes or no? Getting you to pay attention and actually provide an answer is extraordinarily frustrating.
Get over your wheel arches and pay attention to the fact that people are trying to help you and so far all you do is stuff around and ignore them.
Do you understand the day is being organised for YOU?
Regards,
Brian

Perhaps we should just remove the wheel arches. They do seem to be rather contentious.

Brian comment about my wheel arches is just a joke.

I do and have stated before appreciate your and everybody's opinion and I do pay attention.

Check out Google maps for directions from the Bay to Putty Road.

Thank you.

Just looking at Google maps now Anthony.

Anthony are these the correct directions from my place (Nelson Bay) to Putty Road?

I have never been to Putty Road before I do not want to get lost.

Just to deviate from Tims RSVP for a second but I am wondering if Chrome/Stainless wheel arch mouldings were ever actually a Genuine accessory.

And if not how do they rate on Concours?

Tony, as far as I know wheel arch trims were only offered by the factory on W100 models, the 600 SWB and LWD, the rest I believe are aftermarket.
W112 Coupes may have had them as a factory option and someone smarter than me will clarify that.

Now, Tim, MAKE A DECISION, are we doing this or not?

If you're serious about having a concours car then you need to get it as close as possible to how it was when it rolled out of the factory. So if you have a W126, that means ditching the chrome mouldings. Take note, Tim.

Back to you Tim, and your RSVP.

Tim, the F3 will get you here quicker but not as much fun

Does this mean you will be here on the 23rd?????

Thanks for the Google maps directions Anthony.

Just under a 4hr drive from from home to Putty Road not to bad a good chance for the Battleship to stretch it's legs.

Sunday 23rd September sounds good to me guys what time?

Now as for the chrome wheel arches they are staying on the car I have said this before.

I have looked at the wheel arches they have '126' displayed on the inside of the arches so they must be genuine arches.

Perhaps John or someone with is familiar with W126 wheel arches may shed light some light on this?

All this talk of wheel arches is starting to do my head in oh well.

Cheers.
