Who’d think it’d be so hard to find the correct ignition leads?

Beru ZEF566 or
Beru ZEF670???

When I checked the EPC and compared lengths; the 566 set seems the closest. But an internet search revealed the 566 has ceramic adapters (WTF) whereas the 670 does not. More confusing is the 670 is apparently for the US market and 566 is Euro. The Beru website and my local suppliers are no help. I’m using NGK non resistor plugs, so I need leads with suppressors.

Anyone care to enlighten me??

Yes very helpful thanks! Pity the HPF2 manuals in English are so hard to find but I’ve managed to track down non user friendly copies which I’ll have to print off.

I’ve spent more on this car than any other with more parts arriving soon. Should be worth the effort when I get a RWC and fit club plates. I’m annoyed VicRoads don’t allow custom plates on club cars (since I have a set for Dora already), but I hope that’ll change one day in the future. I just cannot afford to pay full rego every year on her to fit the special plates, but hopefully my finances will bounce back soon and that might change too...

I never got a reply from Beru via email. Seems many companies email enquires go straight to junk with over-zealous auto screening...

The car will be really nice when done, and something pretty unique in Australia with only a handful around.

NSW is the same, we get those silly little purple plates. Still, I am not complaining too much given how cheap historic rego is now ($48) compared to full ($1000-$1500) or the useless historic system we had before.

QLD does allow personal plates on historic cars (my DS had them when I purchased it on the sunshine coast). But the historic scheme up there is quite restrictive and not that cheap.

I kept one car (the 300SE) on full rego and the rest of them on historic.

Great read of this massive job Mark.
Great work.
What are you up to now with her?

Also,
How does the 560 ride on the hydro suspension?
Are you impressed with the ride?

My 560 is surprisingly good with her standard suspension, she actually rides better & less road noise transfer than my Silver Shadow.

Lastly
Are all 560’s 300hp?

Many thanks in advance.
