I’ve spent more on this car than any other with more parts arriving soon. Should be worth the effort when I get a RWC and fit club plates. I’m annoyed VicRoads don’t allow custom plates on club cars (since I have a set for Dora already), but I hope that’ll change one day in the future. I just cannot afford to pay full rego every year on her to fit the special plates, but hopefully my finances will bounce back soon and that might change too...
The car will be really nice when done, and something pretty unique in Australia with only a handful around.
NSW is the same, we get those silly little purple plates. Still, I am not complaining too much given how cheap historic rego is now ($48) compared to full ($1000-$1500) or the useless historic system we had before.
QLD does allow personal plates on historic cars (my DS had them when I purchased it on the sunshine coast). But the historic scheme up there is quite restrictive and not that cheap.
I kept one car (the 300SE) on full rego and the rest of them on historic.
