What I have heard is that the M120 is a good engine, but the cars it can be found in can have other issues like biodegradable wiring harneses.

I have heard the M137 was NOT a good engine and should be avoided. I don't remember why.

the M275 is good but suffers from fragile coil packs. The M275 is a twin spark plug motor, so 24 spark plugs and one coil pack unit per bank with 12 coil packs on each. The individual coil packs cannot be replaced so you are looking at $1500 USD per side.

That’s crazy.

The S430 has 2 plugs per pot, but they are right next to each other.
Strange set up, not like other multi plug per pot arrangements.

Very smooth but hugely complex engine . But I missed most of the rebuild due to my health issues but did move it around workshop for a few days . But im a large engine Mercedes tragic and even though I know I shouldn't I still want one. As for W140 series 2 is version to look for which is 96 and later .

The thing that will impress is how quiet they are when driving more so than newer models. Double glazing is only one reason.

I suspect the green 6.9 was an aberration, not the trend. The blue 6.9 at Melbourne shannons passed in on monday:

From memory the guiding range was somewhere between 35-45. It is highly unlikely the reserve was above that.

A little saggy in the bum, but how good is that interior!

Leanne is happy to go also, as there is one of the best cake shops at Bowral, so she was all in on the drive

The S430 is the first car I have driven with double glazing Motec, you are spot in, very quiet indeed.

Yes range was 35 to 45k and as stated passed in . But the last 2 as everyone knows one went for 64k and the next one was 25k but it really wasn't a nice example. This one currently on Carsales in W.A is a nice one. But I know the car and owner. I also know who painted it and they are considered the painter in Perth.
