No new pictures. When I get it all back together (radio is out for example as it has just been refurbished), I will update.

As far as the colour is concerned, I have never seen another. Whether it is 1 of 1, I have no idea. It was often seen on W123's however, particularly in Queensland, and of course, Sean's W107 is the same colour.

I saw a W116 280SE once in this colour . In S.A but never since on a W116 . So it most definitely is unique . :)

Hi Craig any new pictures of your car it is certainly a rare colour for a 6.9 :)

The picture I posted (from Craig's photobucket) is the latest he has (as per his previous post).
Originally the car had NSW number plates and it came from around the Campbelltown area.

Hi Tim Yes and use less fuel . Automatics have really only pulled in front since 6 speed and above automatics. In old automatics only modified ones were faster than a manual. But they are not street friendly.:)

Geoff, if it is a four speeder, it is not an inspiring car to drive. The design of the ratios would have to go back to the fifties, and take into account mountainous driving, with very low 1st and 2nd gear ratios, and a huge gap to third gear. Most of the time, you can start off in 2nd, and switch to the next higher gear fairly quickly.

I prefer the automatic version. BTW, my comments relate to the 108, 109 and 111 models. Regards Styria

No problem Styria but if you have a manual you have all the parts to allow a modern 5 or 6 speed to be fitted as you can buy 6 speed manual kits for pagoda models.

Six speed!!!! Now you're talking.
Otherwise what the Godfather was talking about applies to W116 manuals also
