    Poor quality genuine motor mounts

Back in 2019 I had the motor mounts changed on my SLC. I stumped up for the genuine mounts, as a lot of the aftermarket rubber parts are rubbish. Had Lemforder been an option, I would have taken it (they are on the 126), but it was Meyle or genuine, and so given the quality of Meyle, I went...

Wheels 2022 and Rolls Royce Federal Rally

Starting a proper thread on this. Here are the photos from the Wheels display, one Mercedes Benz for each year 1951 to 2001. https://www.classicjalopy.com/2022/03/wheels-2022-queanbeyan/ and here is the Rolls Royce Federal display, 10 minutes walk away...

6.9 with 16 inch Bundt wheels Boral

Not 100% sure, but I think you could use the wheels from an earlier E-Class with 17s.

    Car of the week

I think probably yes. Its a lovely car, but it has 300,000km and a green interior is really polarizing. With a rare car you can always get somebody who is desperate for a particular example, but I think he's a lot higher than the market will bear.

    The Rover P5/P5B

according to the James taylor book, all P5s destined for north america had that badge. So I suspect that car was originally sold in the USA or Canada, and has remained there this whole time. P5's were not sold there long - they soon switched to the P6 which they felt was a better fit for...

    79 280SE

Did some more testing. Looks like my cold control pressure is way too high also looks like my fuel pump is on the way out as it gets very noisy after a while. Will replace that first. https://www.classicjalopy.com/2022/02/k-jet-fuel-pressure-test-part-2/

    C114 and C123 production numbers

I know it cost them at least one sale. My dad was interested in a new C208, but when he drove the car, and saw that design choice, he waited a couple of years and bought a C209 CLK320. I drove the C209 he owned and it was a nice car. Was in a really brilliant blue colour that doesn't seem...

    79 280SE

Started the testing on the engine, but got the ports wrong on the WUR so will need to re-do. Unlike on the V8s, the WUR is hiding down at the back of the engine near the transmission. Pretty hard to see: https://www.classicjalopy.com/2022/02/k-jet-fuel-pressure-test-part-1/

    Rover P5 MK1 vs Wolseley 6/99

https://www.classicandsportscar.com/features/battle-middle-england-rover-3-litre-vs-wolseley-699 Good article on the two cars, asking the question was the Rover worth the extra 500 pounds? They have a very early MK1 car as their test, complete with manual steering, drum brakes, no overdrive...

    Car of the week

wow a 230 carby, still in nice shape for sale. most of these didn't survive the 90s and early 2000s along with their big brother, the 250 carby. now an interesting car to have a club events as you'd have the only one. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/325052687830

    50th Anniversary challenge

Looks like a big job, but not impossible. These cars are becoming thin on the ground, especially the early ones so good to see another being saved.
