As I mentioned in the August GTG thread, I had a situation whereby my spray booth was rented to a panel shop operator and that agreement included the storage of the
Red Terror (aka
690SEL) undercover at his premises and all covered up.
To cut a long story short, that did not eventuate.
The
Red Terror ended up parked in the open but under a roof and subject to the elements.
Yesterday, I walked up to it, opened the door and attempted to start it.
It took four seconds and it fired up.
I let it idle for five to seven minutes, all the time eyeing the front and the rear to see whether it would move up.
Well, it did not... It did not need to!
It had not dropped at all all during its nine or so weeks spent alone, unstarted and looking dusty and sad.
A quick wash, then a quick clay and then I dried it up before I took it for a spin around the block (it was a big block
).
Just a great car...
Ah... and it's inside now
