Personally, both cars fall well short of a "5" rating. All things considered, a "3.5" would be appropriate - perhaps. The interior of both cars need a $10K. refit, if you want something that's really worthwhile keeping in the long term. They seem quite similar in quality to a car that's just fetched $31K. at auction, so expect these cars to probably go even higher. I guess by the standard of what one pays for the Aussie Muscle Cars, these 6.9s, at more than $30K. each, represent great value. We all know the fantastic sums Aussie, and to a lesser extent, American Cars attract on the market nowadays. Then take a 6.9. Still reasonably cheap to maintain, but if you had a car with great duco, a new interior, excellent in mechanical condition, a 6.9 would run rings about any of the Aussie Cars from a "quality" point of view - and for a lot less than, say, a $150K. That will buy you a great, great 6.9.

Saw this Rover 3.5 and 123 wagon today at Coffee & Cars, both looked immaculate. Plenty of cool cars out there, again I was surprised by the amount I saw that didn't even vacuum the carpet...

It just makes no sense at all. Especially if you’re displaying a convertible/targa top car, sort of invites people to look inside. Then there’s the drink bottles, phone chargers, packs of chewing gum, jackets/shirts thrown inside. Literally no more than 10 minutes for a quick vac and tidy up will make the car a billion times more appealing.

The feeling at Coffee & Cars events is that you drive what you have in whatever condition.
Somehow the current generation of goers don't feel the same as when you take your vehicle to a Show & Shine event.

Totally agree chaps.
I’d be mortified if someone looked inside my car that I have prepared to a level where other people could view or judge.

During events with the RROC, my wife and I hid everything, that was not to do with the car itself.
One can only imagine what some of these people’s houses must be like.

The first car I drove at 100MPH was a 1969 XW Falcon GT, on Victoria Ave between Showground and Presidents Roads in Castle Hill. It was 1982.
Only because I was 17 and indestructible it wasn't too scary.
A few weeks later my dad's business partner dropped around in his 6.9, I relayed my experience.
He hustled me into the 6.9, repeated the velocity on the same road, with one hand on the wheel and complete stability.
Lesson learned.

Gents.
Not that this is for sale, however a mate of mine picked this up from a barn out west for $500.
Just needed a battery, service and tyres.
The rest is pretty mint he said.
Sorry about the crappy pics.
If I get to see it in person, I will get some better ones.

I just can’t believe someone would consciously do this to a car, stand back and think “shit that looks unreal”
WTF was this bloke thinking?
I’m guessing this is why it is priced so low.
I’ve had quotes between $5k - $8k to get this crap off this stunningly beautiful car.

This could have been the answer to my wife’s convertible she has been longing for after I sold her Audi and her Mini.

You could have that wrapped in a solid media for about $3k.
But you'd know of the horrors lurking below
