Real Estates have a diesel engine! I went down and back to Canberra on Saturday, fully loaded, and cruising comfortably with the Distronic keeping up a smart pace and still returned an average of 5 litres per 100 kilometers. Had it been an EV I would have had to stop for a re-charge. As it is, from starting with a full tank I still have 1000 kilometers left. Bliss.

At present, ICE rules the Australian long distance drives, and out of them, a high quality diesel is best.

The federal court orders auction company Grays to bear hefty penalties over 750 contraventions of consumer law, which saw it sell second-hand cars with false or misleading descriptions to consumers between 2020 and 2022.

Lot 330 180: A bit tatty in places but looks ok.
Lot 332 180: A fairly bad paintjob over an average example
Lot 335 280S W108: Looks like a decent driver quality W108
Lot 338 450SLC D-jet: A bit tatty in places but ok.
Lot 342 450SEL 428k non runner: Leather and paint surprisingly good for miles. Could be an ok project.
Lot 343 230 W123 Mimosa Yellow: Non reserve, not bad shape in a great colour, but 230 not the most desirable model.
Lot 246 280TE: Rough as guts, wrong headlights, broken SLS. If it wasn't a wagon would be a parts car.
Lot 349: 280TE: A bit tatty in places but not a bad project
Lot 352: 190E with body kit and terrible bonnet scoops. Hideous.
Lot 354 500SEL: A OK car with a bad retrim. Bad scratches on boot.
Lot 355 380SE: Average quality, clearcoat not so great.
Lot 356 230E W123: Tatty
Lot 357 300SEL w126: tatty import.
Lot 359 300D W124: High mileage hero, driver quality
Lot 366 560SEC: Hideous wheels hide a somewhat ok driver quality car that's had a repaint. Guy who wrote the description on crack.
Lot 368 S500 W140: Jap market car in very nice condition.
