Great colour and great condition car.
I think he is in 560 territory with the price though.

Built a few months before mine, and an MB-TEX interior and manual seats like mine. Difference is that this car has a sunroof.

S-Class V12 2005

A hell of a lot of car for relatively little or.....no money ? That's what it seems when one considers the cost of the car when new and what they are looking for today. To put this into some perspective, and I am talking about the catastrophic resale value of some luxury cars - I looked at a Suzuki 2007 Burgmann Maxi Scooter that was advertised for $6500 from memory. A scooter of all things !

Compare the two items - makes one scratching the proverbials. Regards Styria

If the 2005 has the bi-turbo engine then the coil packs for these are in one unit per side and cost more than USD $1500. Its a known issue with these engines.

Brabus 6.9 litre - W140

This time some more reasonably useful information, but on the much maligned W140 series S Class. The author makes it very clear that these are quite complex and expensive Motor Cars to maintain. Incidentally, the link to BaT (?) is provided by Lucas from whom we have not heard for a long time. I wonder how he is getting on in this world ? Perhaps someone knows. Regards Styria

This seems interesting.
The owner states it will only cost around $1500.00 for some work for a full and healthy pink slip.
New brakes and a few other things done already.
He doesn’t know if any timing chain work has been done.

Seems a bit pricy, but I guess that is what’s happening to Holden prices as we speak.

That kingswood has hardly been used.
Still, it doesn't seem that long ago that you could pick up a decent (not this low mileage) Kingswood for next to nothing! they have really gone up in price in the last 10 years.

On that w116, if it really is rust free could be a good buy. The problem is that sellers claim these things and then you go and see the car and there are rust holes the size of your fist in the floors!

Most Kingswood’s I’ve seen over the last few years Bryce, are either rusted out, or completely worn out.
This is extremely rare, and boy I’ve looked at a few Holdens over the last few years.

The 450 owner is extremely poor with communication, so I will wipe it based on his efforts to actually sell his own car.

It was advertised some time ago in the Burwood area.
I sent a link back then, and he had quite a few unusual cars in the factory unit the pics were taken.

No but it seems to have been for sale for many months.
i suspect this is because its priced as a car that is ok but the description says it needs work. No idea what that work is.
Looks nice though.

Are you interested in adding a W116 to the stable Patrick? As you've had a W126 and W220 it would be another S class to tick off the list!
