Ok I went and had a look at the car today. All books are up to date . All doors open and close with central locking. Windows all open and close smoothly sunroof as well. No apparent damage to interior or body work apart from parking scrape lower left corner of front bumper. Air conditioning works very cold recepts for re-gassing 2007. Wires to fuel injectors pliable and not brittle. All instruments working correct both front seats working correctly including electric headrest . Boot handle functions correctly. No oil leaks around head or signs off contamination in coolant or engine oil. Car drives smoothly and tracks strait with no brake shudder. Engine temp was stable front fans function. Paint in above average condition no apparent rust visible on body work looked under covering in boot and under car. 188000Km showing on odometer with current owner owning car since 2007 bought from John Hughs. Stereo works correct no hissing or popping cd changer works correctly. As well as cruise control. Asked to if I can have it inspected at Auto Europe next week just so I can check for leaks underneath . coolant was was blue . He showed receipts from German Auto Service Wangara for last 18 months so he has changed who serviced the car. Car is March 1996 build date sold new in Melbourne with 1000k service done at main dealer next 100000Km of servicing done BAE Adelaide. From 115000Km servicing done in Perth.

6K all done just needs final inspection to pass to check for leaks for money to change hands but agreement has been meet with this final point to finalise.

Oh that's right I am supposed to say I bought it. Have a new car. Now to sell 2000 Hyundai Accent with 120000Km .

Been looking for a While and researching series 2 96 onwards did not have evaporator or bio wiring issues. And S280 did not have soft close doors and a few other known problem areas . Pleasantly surprised at how it drove with 2.8 litre M104 with 142Kw but S280 weights 1880Kg not 2000Kg plus of V8 models. Very just needs paint fixed bottom left corner of front bumper no other apparent paint damage Interior in clean unmarked condition. All electrics work checked and rechecked . Changes gears smoothly with prompt gear engagement between neutral and reverse & drive. Clean Blue Mb coolant no sign of contamination between coolant and engine oil. Will have inspected underneath for leaks next week as final check. Could not see any but will get Mb work shop to give final clearance on car then take delivery if it passes which I expect it to. Make good replacement for the Hyundai I think.

Will do no plans to mod or change anything just tidy up a few things only faults I could see with car was front bumper as mentioned . Front ash tray working but sticking and front mirror switch works but has been pushed down slightly at the rear in console. No marks on any rim or the rest of paint or interior. Will look at iPod connection for stereo but will not change it.

Besides tidying up the cosmetics of the S280 sounds like you have purchased a great W140 Motec.
