    Octane and Petrol

Personally I think the ability to refine fuel is something that is in our country’s interest to maintain.

    Lancia Flaminia Sport Zagato C3

Not the Flamina, but Harry's Garage have a Zagato fulvia which is a really interesting car. I've always thought this model was really striking. They have just started an engine rebuild project: If you don't subscribe to Harry's Garage, you should. None of that nonsense like most...

GM Ends ICE Production by 2035

I think it will be easy for governments to mandate/incent electric cars for all new sales it will be much harder to ban petrol cars because of the size of the existing fleet. They may try a cash for clunkers style programme, but that is just going to thin the herd of ordinary commuter cars...

    280E Door rubbers and seal

No worries, good luck with your car. When you get a chance, it would be good to have a thread on your car with a few details about it and a few photos.

    280E Door rubbers and seal

Welcome to the website. There are a few places locally like Silver Star in sydney, or you can buy from the USA or Germany. You can also buy directly from the Mercedes classic centre in the USA, the prices are high but you will get the best quality. One thing to bear in mind is that...

    Pininfarina 6.3 Coupe

I also think the Espada is a great looking car. From what I read, as the Pirana never went into production, Gandini re-used his styling proposal for the Espada. The Espada looks even better as the car is better proportioned for the styling. The Pirana, being based on the 2+2 S1 E-Type is a...

    W108/W109 early and late headlights

Funnily enough the flat ones are the later ones. I think this came in around the time that boxy styling was seen as more modern. Another example of this is the facelift of the W111 Coupe/Cabriolet with the low grille, and the facelift of the /8 cars. Photo below shows a facelifted 111...

    Pininfarina 6.3 Coupe

I don't especially like it, but I do like the Bertone Pirana which I think was a better rebody of an existing car by an Italian designer

    W108/W109 early and late headlights

I'm putting up some shelves so went through some of my spare parts. This shows the difference between early (1959-69) and late (69-72) headlight types on the W108/W109/W111/W112 models. I wrote an article a couple of years ago which I have also updated to the new photos...
