    The Rover P5/P5B

This very original P5 is advertised for sale at a UK auction side. Seems a good representation of the early cars:

Probably depends on the carby. Plenty of people who can work on SUs as they are so common - still thousands of British cars equipped with them on the road. Esoteric carbs I would agree.

    79 280SE

That’s probably why it has not been towed away.

    79 280SE

Gave the 280SE its first oil change under my care now its on the road and ready for use. Oil was fairly dirty so I am glad i did. Since I don't know the last one done, I'll do another one in 1,000km to ensure everything is clean and set a baseline.

Its probably quite important. Modern cars are basically computers. I work in the computer software industry and updates are important to the good functioning of whatever product you have.

    79 280SE

Got the dash and other trim back in. Took the car for a test drive so went to take a photo next to the 280SE that has been abandoned in a local coles since at least may.

    560sec ece

The car is back and the brakes are rebuilt. One half of one of the calipers was siezed in so badly he used another one he had in the shop. New rotors etc all on. Brakes feel better. The A/C is also done and its nice and cold now. I've done a more extended write up here:

you can see why the easiest way to steal a Mercedes is to steal the keys.

    79 280SE

Car is back! Mechanic had to drop the steering box in the end to get enough clearance to remove the ignition lock. The used lock supplied by styria is now in the car. I am going to put the instrument cluster and some of the other trim back in myself.

    My W126 380SE

The 380SE is such an underrated car. I’m perplexed why the market values the 420SEL at 3x. It’s not 3x the car. the 300 and 380 are the best bang for buck in the 126 range.

    My W126 380SE

Michel - the car is looking really good. If you go with the hammers, unless they are the correct offset and a period wheel (i.e. made around the time of the car) you would need to change from historic registration type to modified....

    Eastern Suburbs Cars and coffee

Very small turn out this month due to a mix up with the location. The St Ives show (next week) is much bigger and better than this one: https://www.classicjalopy.com/2022/08/eastern-suburbs-cars-and-coffee-august-2022/

Wakefield park forced to close by nimbys

This was posted on the MBCNSW facebook - not sure who is organizing: As a act of solidarity to Wakefield, there is an organised event for everyone to attend, whether you drive a classic car, drift, time trial, race motorcycles or anything in between, this affects us all, and most of all...
