Well I took a lot of pix and couldn't post them until now, since I had to download them from my video camera. I couldn't use my phone, since it's full of old pix that I don't have time to copy, or delete; time for a new phone I think (which will have a better camera)... At least the video...

Spotted this special car at Motorex 2023! I believe it's the same car Brabham used in the demo race with Fangio at Sandown 10/09/1978, which was the day before Fangio helped release the Aussie 6.9 to the media.

Digging through some old pix now!! I’d been trying to find these for years.... Skye not long after purchase (13/04/2003). This was just before I transitioned to a digital camera, so the next ones will be better quality.

Only 143 chassis between them and the earlier car (5398 - rusted out) saves the day! Now I have to clean the manifold thoroughly, replace the common failure points, plus delete the EGR discretely!

Two heads with one stone... My spare engine now becomes the next test bed for a new manifold. Plus the original & undamaged manifold goes on Red Bull.

After a replacement manifold fell through & after considering other options I finally got the manifold off this car! Mongrel of a job since the EGR pipe at the back fouls on the head and so does the lower plenum. Best attempted by removing the thermostat housing and pulling it up from the...

After searching for years I finally got my steering wheel & switches/clock spring. And yes it will fit a late W116 or W126! It’s still a while off, but looking forward to a 6.9 with a 6 speed & paddle shifts! Hoping to add a W126 telescopic steering column too so the switch won’t be a dummy.
