    Car of the week

The new X Trail had its first service today. With a brand new engine for this model, and modern oils, the service intervals are still every 10k. A huge let down in a modern world.

    Patricks Trucks

Very interesting Mark If I hear about anything coming on line, I will be the first to get some info. If you look back through this thread, you will see a post I did about Volvo hydrogen fuel cell.

    Patricks Trucks

I don’t know about the motors, but I can find out. Yes, really for long haul trucks it seems hydrogen will be the way to go, as the range on these is only 350km at present. Volvo is working on a hydrogen fuel cell, but we haven’t seen or heard anything about it yet. The medium duty BEV trucks...

    Car of the week

Here are some pics of the new X Trail. For some reason Australian X Trails don’t get an engine cover, so when you pop the bonnet, it looks like someone has stolen it. All the mounting points are there, but no cover.

    Car of the week

At Brians request, here is a bit of a write up and my impressions of this entirely new model Nissan X Trail. My first company cars at Volvo, we’re Volvo’s I had an S80, nice car. Then in 2011 I wanted to go to a larger car and the only options then was the Nissan X Trail. I am lucky enough to...

Gents. 2 weeks ago we held a dealer, customer & journalist drive week (well, four days, the fifth was for us to take back all the trailers and concrete weights etc) which gave everyone their first ever look and drive of our new electric truck range. A very big week indeed, with dinners each...

Styria, Can I please make a respectful comment? After our discussion two days ago on the phone, I can see that you are exceptionally busy. Please stop replying to things from many many years ago, (some were over 10:years ago I seem to remember) and concentrate on recent posts. There is nothing...

    Car of the week

Here is a very nice vintage set I saw yesterday while walking through Port Macquarie. Very original inside as well. I’ll walk past there again today and if anyone about ask to have a look inside the matching Viscount. Also while eating at the Irish pub Finnians, where we sit outside, I also...

    Car of the week

I think Mercedes Benz were the first to come up with a full safety cell, and un jamable doors when the W116 was released. In 1978, the first W116 I ever saw, I was stunned simply by the door locks. All cars before, and most cars for years and years later all folded like a house of cards. Even...
