I have previously posted a PDF of the Austin 3 litre - quite a rare machine, and there are probably a couple in Australia. The latest car to come to my attention is the Wolseley version of that Austin.

I am going back many years - to be precise close to fifty - yes fifty - when a good friend of mine (at the time) that I was studying accountancy with, became Company Secretary of a timber company at Annandale (Vanderbilt timber ?), and one car he bought almost immediately was a Wolseley A110 (?). It was indeed a very handsome and imposing looking car. He later became Company secretary of Ryde Chrysler - at the time of the introduction of the first Chrysler Sigma - anyone remember them ? Ah, where are they all now ? Regards Styria

Just to keep on 'song' so to speak, hereunder is an assessment of the Austin 3 litre already referred to. Finding this test, unearthed another car I had never known nor heard of - the Bentley Java. Now, this may indeed be of interest to our resident Rolls Royce/Bentley afficionado - any comments, Sir ? Honestly Brian I reckon this is a really handsome looking car. As I said, I have only just found it, and still have to read up on the finer details.

Java was a design exercise for a smaller car but was never brought to commercial reality. The Company produced a range of experimental vehicles - some were used as transport around the factory and some were sold and today are still with us. Basically they were running test rigs.
In the 1990s, the name Java was used again for an experimental model - worth having a look at this one - http://www.rrab.com/java.htm

THE JAVA looks stunning BRIAN , why they didn't produce it ?? i wonder .

SKIGMA ? come On MICHEL it doesn't worth commenting ,it could be an experience but not seriously appealing for someone to buy, i really doubt it

THE WOLSELEY 3-litre very close look to the FIAT 2300 of the sixties as a body without going to special mechanical and specs.

at least that was my thoughts.

REGARDS
