I read this, and unlike most of these articles that are high level and superficial, this one went into a lot of really good detail on the model. I feel like the W116 has always been stuck in the shadow of the W126 and W108.

Arguably, as few people use these cars daily anymore, the W116 is probably a better classic than the W126 is, even if a W126 is better for everyday use.
