To Sprint or not to Sprint

I am looking at maybe buying a ex government Sprinter Transfer bus like this . As I have been offered a contract that is very tempting. They are aware of my upcoming surgery and being unable to commence till middle off October at the earliest. So we will see what I decide . The minimum seating I require is 10 so that rules out Valente and other smaller people movers. And out of the 12 seater buses only Sprinter has Climate control air. I don't know about recently released Commuter bus from Toyota but they are to long a wait at present.

Didn't work out finished 2 weeks ago Michel. I have surgery from accident booked for 14th of August the day before my 50th birthday so oh joy over that.

It just wasn't working out is easiest way to say it. And with up coming surgery I decided it was time to leave. My health has been very up and down this year.

My first thought, when I saw 'Sprint'
was
Elan S4 Sprint !

You don't climb into an an S4.........you put it on !
I have driven an Elan S4; the car very quickly becomes an extension of yourself.

Sorry SEL69L I have great difficulty even getting into a W107 SL so Elan is completely of limits.

Never heard a bad word about the Sprinter buses or cab chassis Motec.
When I was with IVECO we used to import the Daily vans & cab chassis, which we sold many to Winnebago.
Winnebago loved the Sprinter product, so I did get a good insight into their reliability and any issues which were few and far between.
From what I understand they are made in Europe.
All the smaller stuff comes out of South America or South Africa, which I have hears in the past of reliability, and quality issues.

The most reliable and were the MB100’s out of Korea (Ssang Yong) a few years ago.
Not pretty, but good vans.

Yes version I'm looking at has OM651 2.1 4 cylinder turbo diesel with 7 speed. It's 116 version with 120kw

Helped pull one apart for parts while in Perth. Nothing wrong with it but was cheap enough to wreck for drive train to fit to Hot Rod .
