Yes it’s got to such a poor state I’m not scared to go nuts with a completely different colour & later AMG wheels! W126 interior with split electric rear seats from a grey import 420SEL in the fleet.

It will also score a larger version of my 560 EFI manifold... One day I’ll add a turbo or 2 for good measure which will probably require a replacement trans since the std one won’t cope.

Oh and it may just end up with HPFE/ADS (Active Dampening System) from a W126 currently in stock lol!!

Well, I wonder whatever happened to it - I find some of Mark's posts almost as interesting as his fantastic expose on the master Juan Manuel Fangio. Probably a bit of a tongue in cheek remark, but I never cease to be amazed at Mark's resourcefulness, but also his ability to change direction from one car to others. Totally fascinating. Styria there’s no harm in asking legit questions!!

Well strangely it seems Moby will soon become the last 6.9 in my possession after selling the others in the next few months.

Madness you might say considering her condition compared to the others however in this case I won’t be as concerned with originality, which then allows me to pursue my goals of modifications & improvements in specific areas.

Lots of movement before October so stay tuned!

I’m definitely keen to upgrade the hydro to the S2 W126 system which is a realistic goal since I have a hydro 500SEL parts car

After searching for years I finally got my steering wheel & switches/clock spring.

And yes it will fit a late W116 or W126!

It’s still a while off, but looking forward to a 6.9 with a 6 speed & paddle shifts!

Hoping to add a W126 telescopic steering column too so the switch won’t be a dummy.

Well my plans have changed completely for Moby now, so he’ll be up for sale soon. At least he now has a full set of proper Bundts with alloy caps & I treated him to a good vac n wash today.
