Thanks for the nice words , that made my day but it is long way still , i will post the picture of the version i used for prototype and few pictures from the preparing for paint , we just finish the painting of engine bay to go to next stage of the mechanical installation of the new engine and exhaust pipe and power steering and the rediator( we had to make new bearings for the engine -we made the molds) then we create new rediator - the one comes with the engine can't fit in the w 108 it was larger for w126 so we had to make new .

the battery i had to put in the trunk ( lack of space in the engine bay) but all went fine so far , my mechanic is a wizard but still ouldn't go thru without you topklasse members and the Godfather who makes this project survive so far.

HEY ALL , it is few more pictures from the paint preparation and the mechanical alteration of my version of a red pig
, please note that it is tested for road and already driving fine ( still need fine tuning and much more details we are working on. it is still not finished project in the making , no A/C yet which makes me steaming.

Tarek, we may have parts, cars and V8s readily available here in Aust, but to have all this work done would cost a fortune!!

Unless I'm mistaken, with regard to vehicle repairs and modifications, you're more fortunate than us.

Tarek I see you have a W124 engine fitted to Red Pig by the looks of it a 3ltr M103 engine is that correct?

Yes MARK it is annoying when you don't find the missing pieces to make the puzzle but i still paid a fortune LOL even in our measures , but it was an experiment i wanted to do since 20 years ( now i think my son who will enjoy it ) since i don't intend to drive this in the streets ,ohh maybe once a month or so. but work is going .

and TONY , trust me it is pain to see it is taking longer than i expected and each step i supervise myself and i use computer skills to surf around to get the answers they need.

TIM it is a M103 i think , just went to wikipedia to confirm . i saw it on w126 and saw it twice on sel and sec , but according to wiki it also show that some 124 also had it .

Hey GUYS , just to refresh and update ,even with sad news , i lost my front windsheild ( cracked when removed for painting , casualties of war LOL , the car have no A/C yet , not fan coil and now i ordered few parts for wiring from germany ( hope they found it ) so just add front windsheild on my wish list.

P.S the car is covered and no work till next monday and me BOILING

AWW , you guys make my day with this possitive encourging posts , can't thank you enough , mind you are the reason i was able to start this project (s) don't forget there is BLU the w116 in the making too ,but about few months delay till i get the RED PIG out . work will commence next monday so lets hope i get the missing parts by then , the seats are done front and back but still the carpets and inner doors ( specially the rear ones which have modifications in it so i'm counting the days-the country in holiday and i'm doing nothing for the moment .

Nothing beats the look of new paint if it's done well! Love the colour choice; it really is stunning. Tarek, your car is looking fantastic and I can't believe how fast you work, especially since you made some pretty significant changes to the guards.

Michel, there's no need to guess what colour blood runs through your veins (not blue or silver)! I'm surprized you haven't posted pic upon pic of the latest Ferraris (have you been to Ferrari World yet?). Do you also love Holdens and support the Sydney Swans??? Does a fire engine stop you in your tracks?? Hahahaha!

I always wanted to go to Egypt.... There's a thought...

FAST ??? it has been 5 months and not even neer the end of the tunnel , i expect one to two more months to go if all missing small bits and pieces are found plus the A/C .

You know you are most welcome to EGYPT any time you want but i prefer to wait till this baby is back on the road , i will need you to test drive it LOL

I like RED but not to the point of going for a red Holden or a Fire Engine, nor would I turn into a Communist for the love of the colour.

I do like Yellow and that is the colour of the next 'project'.
