Source for an R107 or W116 clutch pedal

As the title states, I am looking for a clutch pedal to fit my R107 500 SL. Unfortunately, I am hitting a significant roadblock. I have tried multiple sources to order a clutch pedal (A1072902216 or equivalent) but have come up empty. It does not appear to be available new anymore. I have not had success locating a used manual set-up either for the R107 or W116 which share the same configuration. Any chance someone on the forum has a pedal or complete pedal assembly they are willing to sell? thanks in advance for any assistance.

Unfortunately in Australia, most 107s were imported with automatic transmissions.
Have you tried the various Facebook groups like:

You're going to need to source this from Europe as that was pretty much the only place manual W116s and 107s were sold in decent numbers.

The only v8 that was ever offered with a manual transmission was a 350SL/SLC/SE/SEL. After that they were auto only, so you can probably narrow your search.

Not sure if they were the same as the 280 which was sold in fairly decent numbers in manual.

based on my research, the clutch pedals of the R107 and W116 are interchangeable and inline 6 or V8 does not matter. I am using a later MB transmission with hydraulic throw-out bearing, so some custom plumbing will be necessary, but I would rather use all MB parts for the mechanical components and not have to dive into a full-blown custom pedal solution. I have not found a good source for used parts in Europe. I have emails into the SL shop and SPOB, but no news yet.

may want to contact the 107 club in germany and see if they can suggest a source.

Hi everyone, just to close the loop on this query, with the help from some members of the sternzeit-107.de, I found a used pedal assembly in Germany and had a friend arrange for international shipping. Now I am on the hunt for an R107 hand brake assembly and associated patch panel from the top of the driveshaft tunnel!
