Tim,
I would not think it is a mixture of Champagne and Gold colours. It is a light brown really. Michel will be able to tell you more as he is our resident colourist.
Whatever the mix, it is one of my favourite colours. It's very classy, refined and sophisticated.

Is it a major issue that the number plate is not in the middle and more to the passenger side?

I think the number plate is ok, but the car is too far over to the left.

the front pl,ates is not central that easly be corrected 2 screws out and re screw.

Some other suggestions:

Get some silicon on the sidewalls of those tyres,
Replace the faded tail light lens,
Replace the rear muffler with a genuine unit for originality (concourse judges are notoriously critical),
I'd even look for some nice number plate frames.

Usually blacken the tyres before a car event Oversize.

Tyres were blackened when I bought the car but as it washed off after a while which is not uncommon.

Was not aware the tail light lense was faded Oversize one lense or both lenses Oversize?

I have replaced the left hand tail light lense both lenses are original lenses they are not aftermarket.

Fairly use the muffler is original certainly does look like an original MB muffler I will have to double check.

Other than that I am wrapped with the car!

The car is stunning! Looks magnificent and a credit to its owner.

The number plate is in the correct position. The new council by-laws in Australia (mb/cpa/dodo-auto-in500infring sect 3) state that parking inspectors can only fine you from the footpath. Its a health and safety thing, I believe. Consequently, seeing the registration sticker is on the passenger side of the windscreen, and the parking inspector can only stand on the footpath, then obviously the actual number plate must be "closer to the kerb", in order for him/her not to have eye strain.
If this law was enacted in RH drive countries then the number plate would be closer to the opposite side. (again kerbside)

This car is perfectly legal.

It's the rest of us with central number plates that are breaking the rules!

Number plates are subject to RTA regulations rather than council by-laws.
