As the rally is no longer news, an event or anouncement I will start a new thread here and and bore you all silly with where we went, what we saw how we got there.
I have posted before about the fun we had almost missing the train to Adelaide on the first day so I'll gloss over it, never mind, we made it.

The Indian Pacific travels overnight and stops at Broken Hill to refuel, a town tour was available for those that didn't stay to long at the bar the night before, so Karen took this photo

At Broken Hill we met up with 3 cars driving from Brisbane and one from Melbourne, only one of the lazy buggers got out of bed to met the train, it was 6:00am, and I wasn't one of them.
In the background is the 6.3 featured in Unique Cars recently, those who have read the article will know it is a very potent car, and a show winner.
The train arrived in Adelaide, in the rain, just before 4:00pm Sunday, sorry no pics, by this time all I wanted was a cold beer, so I had 4...
Monday morning we met outside the Hotel for a trip to Hahndorf, SA
On the way we met up with some local Mercedes-Benz club members
One of the members kindly allowed us to view his private workshop and collection, the 1952 300S coupe is a very rare car, less than 200 made, pics to come
