I've mentioned on other threads I am attending the Mercedes-Benz clubs of Australia national rally in Adelaide this weekend. I'll use this thread to post updates, links and pictures on the event to those who are interested.
I'm going to be part of a smaller group taking a more scenic route to the event. Some details of our plan are here:
I've decided to take my 450SLC. Interesting choice given the current fuel prices but I think it will be a lot of fun taking the car on such a long roadtrip. By the time i'm finished it should have passed 310,000 and I'll be at almost 50,000 on the car since I became its custodian in 2003.
Had a few things to do to get ready for the event here:
Last night I went and got the car and filled it up with fuel, ready to leave first thing wednesday morning.
The trip to Canberra a month back was a good dry run to have a few things sorted out.
