I too had a Ford fetish and dabbled in many from XM/XP, XY, XA GT's, ZF Fairlane's, XD's including an Interceptor, XF's, EA/DA EB, NF Fairlanes and EF's before seeing the light and returning to Mother Mercedes at who's teat Ive suckled since.

They all had their merits but anything later than the Mighty XD is kinda yuk now.

Ahem, see? theres the Ford owner in me coming out.

My Interceptor was boring yellow, brown Vinyl seats except the 2 front seats which were the original Scheel seats.

No Pwr Steer, No A/C, no nothing!

It did have a Detroit locker and ate other cars for brekky.................

and did a mid 12's pass at Calder on street rubber (A008's though)

it also had an AM Radio coz FM didnt exist when the car was built but I just used to crack a window and listen to the engine.

The car was bought from VicPol by one of the mechanics in Dawson St who tickled it a bit more and then sold it to me to buy an XE ESP.


Welcome again and remember that the first rule of stalking is 50 texts a day and at least 5 hangup calls, if you run out of ideas Two and a Half Men is excellent learning material taking note of the Rose Character and her skilful use of Superglue and burglary.

as for my xf's, my sedan is my sunny sunday cruiser and has an engineered 351 which i had built around 10 years ago, my ute is my daily and has a hypo 250 which is right at this moment at my mechs becoming stupidly hypo, and i have a project xf sedan with a friend and we are currently tinkering with it, maybe turbo.

i'm hoping mark might be able to post some pics for me as i'm not that crash hot with computers yet lol....

NOW as for Hypo 250's, Early XD iron heads (250) with a little grinding for injector nozzle fit and fuel injection from an XF and they go real hard.

I also seem to recal a trick with 4.0 lt cranks fitted to the mighty 250 making them spin faster and harder with better balance but chat to your Mech about it.

Drifting was just called Hooning back then, But yep the lockers were great although a bit clunky on roundabouts.

Virtually indestructable and I had a good shot at breaking it.

By the time I was done with the car it was still fairly stock and id ditched the twin plate clutch for one of those new fangled ceramic button jobbies which was a bastard to fit.

I did run a Borgy T5 from a V8 Dunnydoor for about a week until I lunched it and put the 4 speed twin rail back in again and other than shortening the shifter 4 inches she was as she was originally set up by the guru that originally specced it.



Oh and I added 4.1 and Falcon GL badges.....
