You are partially right Sean, and that company is Aisin Corporation.
Kabushiki gaisha Aishin, is a Japanese corporation that develops and produces components and systems for the automotive industry.
Aisin is a Fortune Global 500 company and is a member of the Toyota Group of companies.

At the weekend I was speaking to an executive who represents a large Chinese EV manufacturer - one that bought a defunct and historic name but which is now in no way associated now with the previous sporting image.
I asked about spare parts in the future for their vehicles. Yes, available until the end of the warranty period.
I asked about how long 7 and 10 year warranties might be offered. Yes, we will revert to a 5 year warranty at some stage.
Moral of the story? Buy an EV if you are sure you will pass on before the warranty expires; otherwise you might have an expensive appliance to dump.

A dealership is as we know the way cars are sold with showroom, service and spare parts.
An outlet is a shop front only, pretty much like Tesla and Genesis sell cars.

I'm sure they will have service centres and spare parts, but not dealerships as such. (like Tesla)

Dealers today are just Sales outlets at the behest of the manufactuerers . Prices are fixed ..no negotionation. With our two new A Class Benzs, which we handed back ..dangerous software you may recall. Our new Subarus also selled at a manufacturers fixed price. All Dealers have the same price.
My new ResMed CPAP Air Breathing machine is the same . all retailers have the same price
set by ResMed. No more haggling necessary
