Yes it was a toss up between Dora & Red Bull but I decided Dora would be quicker to get on the road first. Red Bull has a trans leak as well as strut issues and I knew I wouldn’t have time to R&R all that and probably find other issues I wanted to fix while the box (or engine) was out. Don’t worry, Red Bull is next & I’ll be using Dora’s old struts during the repairs...

Off to the polisher first thing in the morning, then hopefully a full day turning spanners.... I tracked down these guys years ago and was disappointed to find they’d gone. I thought for a while they’d gone out of business, like many others in the industry. After some detective work, I found they’d just moved locations. Finally I get to give them some work and I hope the result will be worth the wait!!! If I’m happy with their services I’ll add them to the recommended list.

Turned out rather nice n sparkly!! They’re now working on the exhaust tips, since they won’t be easily removable once fitted.

This exhaust section is off a 500SEL, but is probably the same for 560SEL. Note the balance / crossovers in the kidney muffler section. Obviously left and right banks are not kept separate all the way to the outlets.
