The green on green is so good it is worth buying just for that. Where is it advertised? The FB link does not want to work.
Regards,
Brian
Here it is:

If anyone is serious about the car (and not on FB), I can contact the seller and get a phone number. Note its an import so 144k miles not kms.

It's reasonable looking - certainly for its age. Unfortunately, the interior is probably its biggest downfall. Dirty and time worn carpets, accompanied by stiffness of the carpet pile and binding, and certainly the interior, in general, needs a thorough professional clean up. It just looks dirty and uninviting. I suspect that a thorough inspection and assessment of overall condition may well reveal a number of unpleasant surprises. Regards Styria

I wouldn't probably go so far with the interior. I think it could do with a bit of work but not so bad. (e..g the wood). These days a W126 with a pristine interior would be $15k for a six and even more for an eight. On this car, price is probably slightly on the high side given its an import, but not drastically. W126s have increased a lot of late. granted the second gen v8s have done most of the climbing, but nice sixes still get good money.

The asking price is only a starter for negotiation, as is always the case. As much as I like green I do have enough to look after with 5 cars at home and 2 elsewhere. Just ensuring the tyres have correct inflation and the batteries are charged is almost a full time job. Another would amount to insanity.
Regards,
Brian
(Of course it can be said that one can never have too many cars or dogs...)

This 380SE is listed for parts, but it seems too nice to break.

I think probably yes.
Its a lovely car, but it has 300,000km and a green interior is really polarizing. With a rare car you can always get somebody who is desperate for a particular example, but I think he's a lot higher than the market will bear.

I'm in the UK for work and I happened to see a very interesting car driving past when I was walking through Cambridge on Saturday. Not the greatest photo as i had to fumble for the camera as the car was doing about 30mph.

Apparently the car is owned by a couple who have been taking it on extended tours of various countries for years. You can see more here:

As most of you know, we have had absolutely perfect service from a Honda Jazz (Daisy) that Julie bought in March, 2016. So naturally, I have become more interested in some of the bigger Sedans/Hatchbacks such as the Accord (not Euro version - styling bland to say the least) or even the now quite rare Honda Legend. With the Accord, I like the V6 3.5 litre version, even though the 2.4 4 pot model is supposed to be a better buy from a reliability point of view. What appeals to me about both models, but particularly the Legend, are the advanced features and creature comforts even back in 2007 upwards - maybe even a little earlier, but I am not sure.

The car featured here is a 2009 model, and I was particularly taken with the nice agreeable styling/ext. colour combination, but more so the interior.20220507_113055.jpg20220507_113116.jpg

However, what was more appealing was the interior. Unfortunately, it seems as though only the older models attract the light coloured upholstery, and anything much newer seems to sport grey.dark grey and black - how disappointing. Anyway, I mustn't digress. You be the judge....20220507_113137.jpg20220507_113201.jpg20220507_113211.jpg20220507_113313.jpg20220507_113320.jpg20220507_113320.jpg20220507_113137.jpg20220507_113201.jpg20220507_113211.jpg20220507_113313.jpg

I could have bought the car there and then, but on a test drive familiar to my area, it did not take long to discover a front suspension/bushes rumble that Ultra Tune had overlooked the previous day when they prepared a Blue Slip. The owner had no idea and as I really had no firm intentions to purchase the car as presented and tested, I decided to wait to the following day even though another interested party was in on a deal. As it was, they purchased the car (next day) on the spot, and it saved me from any negotions for a reduced selling price. Regards Styria

What impressed me with the car, apart from the quite beautiful cream coloured interior, were some of the standard features that came on the car way back then .....e.g. Heated front leather seats, electrically adjusted.
Sunroof - slide and rearward opening.
Brilliant sound system.
Heating/Cool Air adjustable independent from each side and rear section.
Electric Mirrors and incorporated Indicators.
Five Speed Autobox, with steering column paddles.
Rear Camera and, dare I say, Honda/Japanese reliability, although I believe they were assembled in Thailand.

It had the 3.5 litre V6, putting out about 290 horses. Acceleration was seamless and quiet, and apparently the 0-100 km/h sprint takes 5.9 seconds.
Quite a car, and not sold at totally stupid second hand prices. There is another one on my Horizon some time in the future - the much rarer 3.7 litre Legend - another car again, but not many for sale. All that for another time. Regards Styria

Honda was riding the wave of high tech, high quality and high sales, all on the coat tails of their magnificent sponsorship of F1.

Unfortunately the wind was knocked out of their sails when four things happened.
The death of Ayrton Senna
Pulling out of F1
Non investment into R&D
These were bad enough, but the fourth thing that really hit them hard was the GFC and a massive downturn of up to 90% loss of sales.

They never quite recovered.
Their “up market” brand Accura, never really took off, so very little return on this huge investment.

As Brian rightly mentioned, Legend and Accord were probably the best cars they ever produced and were absolute world class.

Not many really good examples exist anymore, well outside of a car museum anyway.
Ones that do exist, have probably been neglected, and not serviced correctly.
Anything good, the owners probably won’t part with them.
