The names are still very special, but under German ownership, these cars have lost their spark, their style and they certainly have lost their mystique.
Only special people could afford these cars, and it was the demographic of these special people that determined the style, look and especially the ambiance.
These new models, while still somewhat special, certainly don’t have ambiance.
If you open the door of any New Phantom (VII or VIII) The interior just doesn’t have that special look, feel and smell that we all know and love.
These cars are way to clinical, and just not special any more.
You knew if you saw a Rolls-Royce or Bentley driving past in the 70’s, 80’s or earlier, that there was someone special inside, a real wow factor.
Now, anyone with deep pockets or a good bank manager can lease one and hand it back when they have ruined it.
