New kid on the block - Mercedes 600
For sale at the Oldtimer Centre. It is a car well known to me. I did a fair bit of work on it, but more importantly and unless I am mistaken, Jerry of Michel fame, was actually responsible for a complete back to bare metal respray. There was lots of grief involved with the transaction, but none of it the fault of anyone, certainly not Jerry. The owner was difficult, but it was all resolved in the end. I also did a fair bit of work on that car, and I must say that it drove beautifully. It was an ex American car, and it was the best steering car I have ever driven - absolutely superb and it handled beautifully.
Now priced at about double what the previous owner paid, but I guess we all have to earn a living. When I had the car, it looked as though the left hand cylinder head showed signs of having been removed - fairly typical, as on these 100 981 engines, it was not uncommon to develop an oil leak at the rear, and there was no way you could rectify the leakage except for head removal and the fitting of a replacement head gasket. The right cylinder head was untouched.. Regards Styria
I forgot to provide a link to this car with many pictures. There are one or two aspects relating to that Company when selling - firstly, cars receive immaculate detailing and the description of cars, whilst somewhat FLOWERY, certainly invite you to take a closer look at the cars and, obviously, even buy. Marketing at its best, prices commensurate accordingly.
