The car has already been sold, and as a consequence, no interior pictures are available. Well yes, it would seem that he has done exceptionally well, and the car looks in nice condition. For whatever reason, some of the trim strips are missing, and this seller has had no more success in getting a perfect bonnet fit - I am talking about lining up with the back section of the front guards - same problem as I have. I suspect that the fault may well lie with the sealing rubber at the back of the bonnet. On my car(s), the rubber is rock hard and I am not game to remove it as no ready replacement is available. Regards Styria

In the ad the seller noted he had the side trim but was waiting on the clips to fit it.

the interior was a nice driver interior.

This W123 is a time capsule car with less than 20,000km and apparently history to prove this. I love the colour, pity its a 230 carby, not the best W123 model. Not sure why anyone would have fitted a towbar to a 230! Seller is asking $15k which is probably not unreasonable if the miles are true.

Interesting colour for that 230.

Shouldn’t the front spoiler been green the same colour as the car and not black?

Little tear on the drivers seat not the end of the world.

I use to have a 1982 230E the 2.3ltr 4cyl engine was very slow.

Mercedes with tow bars is the gearbox okay?

Under 20,000kms no mention of any service history on the eBay ad.

This certainly is an exceptionally nice car. The front seats could do with a re-foam. Surprising, considering the low mileage of the car. I guess the time factor cannot be ignored.

I don't know about the 230 carbureted motor in this car, but I used to own a 1959 - 190 and I was quite happy with the torque and pulling power of that car. 70 miles an hour cruising speed was easily accomplished. BTW, with good Olympic Radials it handled brilliantly. Regards. Styria

Lots of things wrong with that green 230. The interior is from a latter model and looks very worn , they probably changed the speedo at the same time :rolleyes:

Plus check out the rust around bonnet hinges

heh. I purchased a car same colour and almost the same year for $830. not as nice as that one though. Car is still being used by my brother.

According to Grays online the 450SLC has no service history.

Front LH and RH doors look at different shade of green to the rest of the car would I be right?

Drivers seat showing signs of age.

Indeed the car has many faults, but it's better than many advertised for 3x the money.

I just would never consider buying a car with no service history but that’s just me others may agree or disagree?

The 450SLC is almost 45 years years old and no service history.

My thoughts , looks like a nice car but i would shy away from buying a W126 with ASR

I've been warned about this by many people. I know when I bought my 560SEC's I avoided 1991 models as it was standard (at least in the united states) by then.

The car looks very nice other than that.

I'm sure helmet can comment with more knowledge, but a few people who are very 126 knowledgeable told me to stay away. that basically the system is prone to fail and its many thousands of dollars to put right. And unlike say a LSD, the car is not usable once the system is failed.
