I concur but since you put your apostophe in the correct spot (very rare on here ) I will not complain.
Mind you, a farmer might have something to say about your wethers.....

I guess some people assumed I wanted to buy it (I am not after an SL, not unless it's dirt cheap)

So I needed to clarify the fact that I would rather be buying an SLC, one that I could modify to my own taste.

I've always wanted a 107, preferably a convertible, that I could paint a colour of my choice to match the 690SEL, but not in red.

I think this is where there was some confusion..... That would imply a SL (convertible) and to 'match' your 690 it'd have to be red; unless you wanted to match style (ie wheels etc) and not colour.

I was curious as to why you'd prefer a SLC compared to a SL. Michel do you prefer a permanent hardtop due to issues such as leaks, wind noise, boot space and body flex?

Styria why do you say it looks bad? Apart from a roof that's a little untidy, it looks good in the pic. Have you had a closer look??

Mark, I go along with you - it is a good thread and it really should invite contributions and remarks. Occasionally, we might stray off the topic on hand, but I am not worried. TK has been going for over four years (plus six months) and for all but the latest month or whatever we have managed without posts being reported or, for that matter, with 'hi-jacking' having become an issue as such. I say let's just get on with the way we managed for four years and four or five months, and enjoy the camaraderie that has been a feature of TK. Regards Styria

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Michel might be waiting for an opportunity too good to refuse, rather than actively looking for another car.... Obviously the SL landed there and is of great interest to us all, but it sounds like it's NQR for Michel. Put a TK calling card on it and lets hope the owner starts posting here....

Different car Anthony.

The original one was in the same complex where I work and had NSW plates, although it was out of rego

The one on eBay is Victorian registered and looks like a million dollars compared to the original one

However on closer inspection of the ad I see is in Preston Victoria rather than Preston Sydney. Strange coincidence.
