I think both of you guys are spot on - there are too many variables with the car, and my suspicions were well founded. It's one of those cars that is, say, fairly right, but wait till you start giving it the once over, and want to turn it into something nice - it will cost heaps but, then again, not all of us may be super fussy. Mark, I thank you for such a clear and concise report. The other matter of some note is the incorrect rev counter - off a 450. Very early 6.9s read to 5000 rpm, the later models to 5300 rpm.
