I noticed you said "some" Des. Obviously I'd have to paint my logo black. :D It's funny but I thought at first the raised lettering wasn't obvious enough from a distance, especially I suppose on my white car that is blinding when clean and shining on a sunny day. But then, not long after I liked the fact it wasn't too obvious. ie the shape of the front end changes in a good way and the AMG detail is there for anyone curious but it doesn't take your focus off the overall appearance. I'm not totally disagreeing with you, it depends on the colours used but I like the sleeper aspect of the logo.

Apart from that car looking dead sexy, what's the go with the blinkers? I'd love to make/buy a full clear lens setup but what's this half/half bizzo? I've only seen pics of yellowed fog lights within the clear headlight before, not this half amber half clear blinker.

Other than that, I love the dark colour matched rad grill and lower grill halves.

Not sure on the indicators Oscar, I have seen other cars from Europe like that so they must be around for sale.

I agree they would look much better completely cleared or smoked, with the correct bulbs in them.

Hi Oscar and Des, I had never given consideration to highlight the AMG letters on the spoiler. My way of drawing attention to the spoiler was to experiment with the colouring of the normally black 2 intake grille halves. Thus, I tried black at first, and then Silver and I was satisfied, choosing the later given that my Gleaming Beauty has the darkish Petrol Blue colour.

I don't think, however, that silver would be suitable on Ossie's white 350SE. In my view, his choice of black ties in well with the white.

For some little whole now I have been considering replacing the standard black grille halves with a mesh type of arrangement. Whilst I have the material, time has not been on my side to start, let alone, finish the experiment. Regards Styria

Do you mean like this Styria?

I think it would look tacky, but you may convince me otherwise once it was done. ;)

Hi Des, along those lines, yes. I guess I am not totally convinced that the material I have is what I want and that has slowed my enthusiasm to some extent.

Trust me though, Des, I generally have reasonably good taste and I think you will approve once you see the finished product. Regards Styria

THere is an Astral Silver 126 that parks around my office from time to time and it has a full body kit as well as some sort of metallic grill insert.

Other than notice it I have never paid much attention but will try to photograph it - particularly the grill.

Okay everyone, just to re-cap and bump the thread - those Reproduction spoilers are still available - I have the mould sitting in my storage shed.

It is obviously a matter of personal taste, but I honestly think that the frontal appearance becomes even more attractive, especially if you are able to highlight the appearance of the spoiler by playing with colour schemes.

The cost of the original lip spoiler has now climbed to a ridiculous $420.00 plus 10% and I really think that is crazy money. Postage in Oz country is no problem, but any o'seas location and it can be expensive. On the other hand, if you can find one, they are asking huge money for the genuine AMG product. Regards Styria

So, any chance of getting one shipped to me in Hawaii?

Hi Nutz, most certainly. I do think, however, the cost of shipping may be somewhat prohibitive. It'd come as no surprise if the cost was to approach $300.00. Please, don't hold me to that figure as I have not checked properly. Regards Styria

Good day everybody, these reproduction spoilers are still available, at the last quoted price of $375.00. They wanted $4, but I managed to convince them to stick to the last price. Now is an opportune time for anyone to purchase a unit. Ideally speaking, an order for three or four may even result in a slightly lower price, but I would need to know almost immediately if anyone else is interested. One will be going to Western Australia at this stage. Regards Styria

Just a little 'bump' of this thread. The spoilers are now $380.00, and I have two spare units left other than the one that will be shipped to Perth within the next few days. Shipping two or three at a time would obviously save on the cost of freight, so now is a good time to secure one. Cost of freight is on top of the purchase price, and we can still paint them in whatever colour desired. However, we are not able to maintain the original cost of painting - that had been $95.00. One would need to add an extra $100.00 to that figure. Regards Styria

I have one more spoiler left out of three. I am posting a photo of Gleaming Beauty showing the appearance of the unit for future reference.

My former 6.9 in green

If I had keep it longer would have had the wheels painted green as well.
