Just watched "Classic Cars" a collection in Alabama ... The Mercedes 500e was basically designed by Porsche and built in their factory !! "90 to '92 ? ...... Porsche used Mercedes Auto Trans in their 928.
Also featured the largest collection of Motor Cycles in the World ..all Restored
There is still an awful lot of money in America. These places are immaculate.

There is a great story behind the 500E.
It was trucked back of forth across stuttgart many times for the final product - between the Mercedes factory and the porsche factory. A big reason why it was so much more expensive than any other W124.

As the first ones are approaching 30 years old, easier to import and register in Australia. They are all LHD.
