300E 24V vs E320

[Oversize]

Which one would go harder, or are they about the same???

Thanks Motec for that very quick response!!! Not much difference with kW, but the 320 has a lot more torque... I wonder if the 320 was heavier and that could explain the apparent slowness?(!)

Yes it was heavier and did not rev as much Mark

Hi Mark according to Carpoint they have the same weight but i have read a few times that it was the slower car the 320E that is. It would appear that there is only about 1/10th of a second between there 0 to 100km/h times http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w124-e-ce-d-td-class/1387230-w124-300e-24-e320.html

Family friend had a white 320E W124 well they way our friend Marilyn use to drive the 320E it sure was quick!

Marilyn was a bit heavy on the gas the accelerator that is!


320E have the 24-Valve engine same as the 300E-24.

I will have to make do with my M103 12-Valve engine in the 260E which suits me fine which has good acceleration mind you the 260E is not a light car.
