That Gullwing with the AMG modifications has lost it's originality just my two cents worth.

Hi Michel yes Gullwing was never fitted with long lights. They were only ever fitted to 300SL convertible. One of the most famous original owner's being Hugh Heffner he still has his.

About the same from what I have seen at auctions. They seem to have either you want Gullwing or Convertible fans.

The Convertibles are better cars as far as driving and ambience is concerned. One important mechanical improvement related to the rear suspension. Regarding this particular car, I guess the modern engine is the better practical option, but there is something special about that canted-over sideways M189 engine and its visual appeal. Hard to ignore originality, and if I had a choice, my preference would be the original unit. The wheels ? I love the originals with their hubcaps. Regards. Styria

Hi Styria Rudge wheels were a very expensive original option on the Gullwing saw a NOS set on German eBay to say they reflect Gullwing price would have been under statement. Make luggage prices seem reasonable .

I got one lorenzer rim like this to to put as fifth wheel (spare) to my pig but didn't work cause it doesn't fit the run flat tires

Hi Styria I think in Tareks case it is about safety. As I being able to get to safety for himself and his family. Don't forget Egypt is not safe at the moment .
