$1400 for four struts sounds almost reasonable.
Anyway having moved on from my previous ML500 with airmatic and off-road pro pack my present W212 E500 with airmatic has a ride to totally die for with handling as well.
It is so good that if it gets to grow old with me I would be prepared to spend the money to keep it in full working order.
