    A member on the OzBenz website mentioned that the never badges are painted, he has only had his a year or so and the paint is already falling off his badge. :mad: Shame they didn't continue to make the badges like the old ones I posted above, I found this on the net, a shot of the newer style...

    Air cleaners

    Has anyone had any experience in restoring an air cleaner? Mine is well, looking a bit crappy, just wondering how easily they can be sanded down, primed, painted etc..? I'd imagine you would need special paint to withstand the heat under the bonnet

    ....also make sure they are genuine AMG, there are copies and some aren't make as well as the genuine items. I know its not a W116, but here is a W123 with some 18" wheels and they look great, in my opinion
