I read them as well but am in the same boat as Bryce. Although we have a 2010 model it's a hilux, old tech and fully serviceable.

    No longer Truck Like

99 Pump fuel would be a godsend for the 6.3, they are renowned for pinging on modern fuels. I tried an octane booster from Auto One but it was very expensive and contained toluene, which the rubber fuel lines aren't exactly fond of.

Bryce, that's like telling us the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy and Santa Clause are not real. All on the same day.

What do yo think is the best Mercedes engine ever? AS the tr

There is only one Benz Engine that has an enthusiast international Daimler accredited club devoted to it. The M100. That's because it is the best by an order on magnitude 👏

How and where to obtain service history for W116

I think that's a function of facebook, there are so many on there with opinions any question asked generally gets a response almost instantly so folk have lost patience with posting on a forum and waiting a few days to receive a response, even though the forum response is probably factual while...

    Tesla 4680 Battery

I bought a 36V chainsaw to tide me over while my petrol unit was in for service. It's 99% as capable and 200% more convenient. And you get about 2.5 hours battery life, not continuous but working time. I'm not sure a battery ride on would be yet up to the task of acres though

    Tyres

Michel I didn’t ask about any price difference, or in fact the price. The local mechanic I use for all my cars, and Mums and Dads, fitted them and I trust him implicitly. 😎

    Tyres

I just put new Pirelli P7 245/45R18 on the back of the S500, replacing PZero's of the same size. They are run flats and I was pleasantly surprised that there was absolutely no deterioration of ride nor noise. The fronts are non run flat P7's. When they are due for replacement I'll fit the run...

    Full Size pickup trucks

A big reason for dual cab ute, including the RAM's and F150's, here is the FBT exemption distorting the market. A ute with a MRSP of $70k attracts no FBT, provides 5 seats, 4 doors, plenty of luggage space with a canopy and pretty swish interiors. A sedan, wagon or SUV of the same price...

    Happy 50th Birthday R107

300dpi at actual size is ideal, but down to 200dpi is fine for this application. I do have imaging processing software that can put lipstick on a turd but it's best to avoid. Email me some images and I'll run some test prints.

    Car of the week

The first car I drove at 100MPH was a 1969 XW Falcon GT, on Victoria Ave between Showground and Presidents Roads in Castle Hill. It was 1982. Only because I was 17 and indestructible it wasn't too scary. A few weeks later my dad's business partner dropped around in his 6.9, I relayed my...
