450SE for sale - Europe

There is a significant asking price on this car - to all intents and purposes, and unless one looks very closely at pictures other than the ones that show virtual perfection, it is impossible to fault this car. However, and I mean however, take a look at one of the original seats, and you'll see some nasty spots - whatever they are. More importantly, to my eyes anyway, is the very worn and sludgy looking appearance of the insides of one of the wheel assemblies - obviously, in some areas, this car has not been particularly well looked after. Beauty should be also in areas not readily visible. Regards Styria

For that money I would expect a detailed engine bay and a repair to what might be cigarette burns to the driver's seat upright - and is the driver's door a slightly poor colour match with the other panels (or maybe the other way round).
Still, it's nice.

Original 'classic' Benzes are worth far more in Germany then what they are worth abroad.
You can compare it to what a nice original WB Statesman would be worth in Germany (almost nothing) compared to its high value in Australia.

That 450SE would struggle to bring anything higher than four digits Down Under but probably would fetch it's asking price in Europe if not then something very close.

71,000kms on the clock not bad.

$35K AUS for the car and the car seems to be worth more over in Europe than here in Australia?

I am a fan of W116 still a terrific looking car even today!

The 450SE does look in good condition.
