Thought that I'd share this discovery with the forum members.
I have had a big problem with water coming into the car for some time and thought that it was coming in from the fresh air box. Many have suggested that there is a possibility that the section under the wipers could have rusted and water finding its way into the car from there.
That in fact wasn't the cause.
I had the windscreen replaced 3 years ago and after some very careful inspection and playing around with a hose I discovered that the rubber seal wasn't properly replaced.
Having reset the seal and also applying a tiny amount of silicone windscreen sealant to help it stay in place, the water leak has been cured.
