WANTED - 6.9 Owners Manual

I would like to buy an owners manual for my 11/78 Australian delivered 6.9

I know it doesn't have much in it but I would like one to go with the car.

Anyone help please???

Hi Jammer, I have ordered two from Marshalls in Sydney about three weeks ago. One had been earmarked for Michel and the other would be spare. Situation is, however, there is no guarantee that they are available. I will check with them today regarding ETA, if at all.

In the meantime, you may consider a VERY special supplement I have for Australian model 6.9's. They are professionally bound in book form photocopies published by Daimler Benz AG in 1979 and provide some very useful information. David (6.9 forever) does have one of those books and I think he found the information therein quite useful.

BTW, the Owbers Manual, brand new from Daimler could well run close to the $100 mark. My book would cost $69.00. Regards, Styria

Cant help you with the owners manual though. I have one but it goes with my car.

I can vouch for the Australian supplement, it is brilliant. Covering other models to some extent it nevertheless has more on 6.9s than anything else.

Well, the unbelievable has happened - both 6.9 Owners' Manuals have indeed arrived. As I said previously, one has been earmarked for Michel, but it leaves one spare - if you like, Jammer, I can bring it with me on Sunday for the Show and Shine. Maybe even a good idea for the admin team to grab the pictures and put toegther something here in the reference section for the topklasse website
Just so they are not lost, granted the information is available in the glovebox manual, however can be handy to look info up, rather than going out into the shed to check the manual

I just got a new manual (courtesy of the Godfather)...

I might just scan it when I get five minutes (oh boy that might be in a long time ) and send it to Admin to put on the web....
