Your 300SE is quicker than 280SE in W126 but W116 is lighter so has a slight advantage. And I knew I would get your attention.

It is of course not all that often that we come across a two tone w116. Gleaming Beauty is, of course, another one that comes to mind ! Whilst not universally admired, GB's combination is quite subtle, to the extent, that some have not picked it unless their attention was drawn to it.

I may not quite be enamoured by this car's colour combination, but what I find surprising is the area where the two colours meet. On that basis, an exact copy of the arrangement on GB. I wonder, was any copying going on ? In truth, I was convinced that no one would ever use the same demarcation line. Regards. Styria
