Today I got out one of my industrial vacuum cleaners and attacked Moby and Arrow; OMG the crap that came out! I'd even steam cleaned Arrow recently....
So some suggestions on where you should focus your attention:
Fuse box (RHS),
Cruise control actuator (underneath),
Suspension front valve (or the same area on non-hydro cars),
Hood hinge cavities,
Areas below the hood hinges,
Brake booster (underneath),
Ballast resistors (below the suspension tank on a 6.9),
Plenum (under the grille at the base of the windscreen - you'll have to remove the wiper arms).
I'd then recommend steam cleaning these areas to make sure they're completely clean and free of debris. Keeping these areas clean and dry will prevent rust making your car a collection of parts, or creating a tragic fire...
