After a lengthy break of some two years, the Rover Club returned to the grounds of Linwood House, situated at Guildford. It is a fairly substantial grassy area, with a good covering of trees providing welcome shade from the fairly hot conditions bordering close to the 35 degree mark. The Ducati Owners' Club was the host marque for the day, and I certainly could not fail in my appreciation of the various models on display.
There were a number of other Clubs in attendance, such as the Holden Club (Register), plus an excellent array of various British Cars in general, not to forget the assembly of Rovers numbering probably close to the thirty cars mark. Much more numerous than either the recent Eastern Creek event that was held in August and, for that matter, the All British Day that was held at the Kings School in Parramatta.
I took the opportunity to take some photos to illustrate what was really a most rewarding event. Everyone was really switched on and also quite supportive in their appreciation of my son's Rover 3500S, back in the land of the living after some eighteen months.
