Richard, also affectionately known as Dick, Seaman was in a rare and privileged position - being English and driving for the late thirties Mercedes G.P. team - a story perhaps repeated some years later with Stirling Moss.

Anyway, Seaman's story is told in four fascinating videos. Full of motor racing history, but with a certain human and private touch incorporated. Please take your time to look at the videos - I enjpoyed them immensely and I hope you will too. Regards Styria

That guys name Seaman rings a bell Styria I have history of Automobiles DVD and Seaman's name was mentioned as a famous GP driver.

Hi Tim, how could you possibly have looked at all the videos in this short space of time ? Go on, have a look at all of them, as it will strike a somewhat rich, but also melancholically sad chord.

Whilst on the thirties G.P. racing, you can't forget the extremely complex Auto Union cars of that period. Most of the Auto Union cars disappeared into Russia and also the East German Republic, but a couple were eventually discovered, bought and brought back to England, possibly by Neil Corner or some other famous collector - maybe the proprietor of JCB Machinery whose name escapes me at the moment. I read one of the accounts of restoration of one of these cars - it took a mechanic three full weeks to just dismantle the engine. Regards Styria

Yes still watching the 3 videos in fact Styria whilst making dinner, feeding the dog, answered the phone 3 times.

1930's GP races certainly were dangerous clearly evident from the videos.

Seaman, Von Brautusch certainly brilliant GP drivers.

Styria you would enjoy the DVD for sure.
