RH Front Headlight blows on my W116

Hey here's one that confusing me at the moment, the RH front headlight on my 6.9 was blown, so I replaced the H4 bulb with another one which blew immediately when I turned it on. Any ideas whats going on?

I have a theory...
the globe is acting like a fuse and reacting to a dead short in wiring, the short must be on the power side of the wiring not the control side so a fused relay would be the first place to look. I know nothing about 116 wiring so could be wide of the mark

Did you use a tissue to put the new globe in?

I know it sounds silly, but I've heard that if you get finger grease or moisture from your hands on the glass it can cause it to blow as soon as you turn it on.
