Rent a W116 in Germany

I found this while doing a bit of surfing on the net.

For €180 a day (mon-thu) you can enjoy a beautiful W116 in Berlin

if you was going to be driving for more than a few days you just as well buy one, from the prices I see average condition cars going for on ebay.de, and
then when you are done leave it at the airport with a note under the wipers

I don't think you'd find many W116s in good condition (in Germany) going cheap (what with rust and salt on the roads).

Besides, this would have to be a one or maximum two-day pose job....

There will come a time when the 116 starts to become both rare and a lot more desirable and they will probably start to stand out from the crowd in the way a well turned out 108 or similar does now.

Unfortunately I think they are still confused with 126's unless they are dark and the chrome is in good condition.

126's will fall prey to the same lack of maintenance and rust problems and then it will be new vs old as the 126's fade away.

I hope to live another 25 years or so while this happens but I don't see me hiring one in Germany at those rates.
