Thanks to Styria, my W126 now proudly boasts a set of rear foot-rests. Not that any passengers will be allowed to place their dirty footwear on them, but that's beside the point.

Many thanks, Styria.

Yeah photos please, go on mate, photos now!
Just kidding, but that Tim over at the other place would appreciate photos.
I reckon he would want a photo of my blown centre muffler on my 280E!
Anyway, will some of us be able to witness said footrests in person at Berrima on the 15th?

Once I've worked out this photo bucket thingy I'll post some links to pictures of the foot-rests. They're certainly impressive.

As for the 15th, still not sure. The 15th is my birthday and the wife may return from overseas and have other ideas for the day.

Sounds like a no win, wife is overseas, his birthday next week, she may (or may not) return, and then tell him what to do on his birthday.
Reckon it's time the TK crew organised a rescue mission for this poor bloke!

That's ok, next time I have a power steering fluid leak on Wasabi, I can post a photo of a little brown puddle for Tim.

Let me make one thing perfectly clear: I wear the trousers in my house.

That said, don't let her know I bought some foot-rests... she'd kill me.

Just tell her they are for when she is being chauffered around by you and stretching out in the back, so the trousers don't get creased against the carpet.
Should be a convincing argument.

Here's a partial view from the Blue 6.9:

They are essentially a blue foam triangle - not attached to the floor. You could make one fairly easily by going to a foam / rubber store, and then a trimmers.

Fantastic, thanks Lukas and E200K.

Hmmm - almost identical with the ones in my Spirit II

A friend's father used to have a Bentley T2 in silver with dark blue interior and it was always a real treat getting a lift to school in it, even though my legs were barely long enough to reach the footrests.

Cheers,

Chris

These are, in fact, the absolute copy of the originals in Michel's 560SEL. When I say copy, I mean shape and size and everything. The ones that E200K bought were originally made for his 420 SE/L, but turned out to be the wrong colour. So we obviously had to re-make two new units - very close in size etc,, but all taken from memory.

Therse normally ret fropm Mercedes for about a grand plus - our price is about one third of that figure having regard to import and local pricing structure structure as far as the carpet material itself is concerned. Regards Styria
